History

The grandfather of the current director, Bas Lensen, started a trading company in paper (papeterie) in 1928. On a carrier bicycle, he delivered all kinds of paper, cardboard, packaging materials to companies in the Twente and Meppel region.

It did not stop at the production of paper and pens alone, as the range expanded to include lighters and ceramics. Several times the company outgrew its premises. After a major fire in the mid-1970s, Lensen senior took the big plunge and the company premises in Bergentheim were rebuilt to create enough space for continued growth and development.

Since then, Toppoint has grown into a multinational company with offices in several European countries. The head office has been located in Hengelo since 2019.
